Can you drop me off directly in Zermatt?
No, Zermatt is car-free. We drop you at Täsch, 5 km from the village; you then reach Zermatt by the shuttle train (~12 min) or an electric taxi. We guide you to the station and can arrange your tickets.
How does the final leg from Täsch to Zermatt work?
From the Täsch terminal, the "Zermatt Shuttle" train departs every 20 minutes and reaches Zermatt in ~12 minutes. An electric taxi service is also available. We carry your luggage to the platform and point you to the right train.
Does the vehicle have winter tyres and snow chains?
Yes. The climb up the Mattertal requires winter equipment: all our vehicles run on winter tyres from November to April and chains are kept on board. No extra charge.
Can you carry skis and the whole family's luggage?
Yes. The Mercedes V-Class 300 seats 7 passengers with their cases and carries several pairs of skis. For fully loaded groups we add a roof ski rack (please mention at booking).
What is the travel time in winter?
Allow about 3 hours to Täsch off-peak, more in heavy snow or ski traffic. There are no road tolls in Switzerland, only the motorway vignette. We build in a buffer and track your GVA flight to meet you on time.
